Connect Learning & Development uses The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team to build and enhance the critical foundation of teams. The program is grounded in the model described in The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, the internationally best-selling leadership fable by Patrick Lencioni.

The model presents 5 critical behaviors of cohesive teams and takes participants upon a journey of exploration and analysis about their own team dynamics; at both the team and individual level. 

As a Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Authorized Partner, Connect Learning & Development combines 20 years of experience in HR Consulting and Learning & Development with this strikingly powerful platform of team exploration to facilitate a learning experience that helps professionals and their organizations discover what it takes to build a truly cohesive and effective team.

As an Authorized Partner of The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, Connect Learning & Development, facilitates these workshops for your intact teams. Through this program, team members will go through a journey of both team and personal exploration, providing them with insights and ways to create a better, stronger team.

At the first level,the program introduces The Five Behaviors™ model of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability, and Results as a powerful framework to understand the principles of cohesive teams.

The program goes beyond a theoretical model, by having team members assess their teams on these 5 principles (Each participant completes an on-line assessment of their team before the session). Then during the program, these findings are used as a platform for discussion and exploration to understand the current dynamics of their team.

At the second level, the program integrates Everything DiSC to help individuals understand themselves and their team members at the individual level within this team framework (Each participant completes an on-line Everything DiSC assessment for themselves before the session).

Again these findings are integrated into the session, to provide a platform of discussion about what each individual brings to the team due to their natural tendencies and preferences.

This program provides participants with powerful insights about their team as a whole, about themselves and about all members of their team; enabling them to use that foundation to create a truly cohesive team for their future.

The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team assessment and accompanying material is designed for an intact team. It provides a framework that helps members of a true intact team to have deeper conversations about how they work together on a day-to-day basis. Although there are many different types of teams, the 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive team works best for teams that:

  • are formed from relatively small number of people (from three to twelve)
  • who meet on a regular basis
  • are collectively responsible for results
  • share common goals as well as the rewards and responsibilities for achieving them
